What size should my background image be?

Your background image will automatically be resized to fit the page but please upload a good quality image of at least 1200px wide and preferably around 800px high.

The overlay image is a square (png or gif) image best at 500x500px. It can be faded to be translucent or transparent on top of your background image and you’d prefer not to make the background transparent, it’s usually best with a white background.

Can I upload a video directly to my campaign?

No. All videos must be hosted on YouTube. Videos can only posted as part of an update and not in the main campaign page text field.

I get an error message when I try to add my YouTube link.

Make sure your Privacy settings are set to Public (on YouTube) Or you can set your privacy to Unlisted.

Make sure your link is formatted correctly. For YouTube, you should use the full URL and not your share URL. For example, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSjHCbS_u0Y is correct, but https://youtu.be/gSjHCbS_u0Y is not.

Why don’t I see the correct image and text on Facebook when I share the page?

Facebook stores all images and text from pages published on Facebook (it's called cache data) into their own systems. This is so they don’t need to download the data whenever someone shares or likes link and thus save a lot of processing power.

However, this means that they sometimes publish old pictures and text.

Facebook is aware of the problem and has developed the following way to solve it:

1) Go to: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

2) Paste the link to the page whose information needs to be updated in Facebook

3) Click "Fetch new scrape information"

If you scroll down the page a bit, you can see the image and the text that is stored in Facebook's system.

NB: You may have to click "Fetch new scrape information" 5 or 6 times before the information is updated.

Why don’t I see the correct image and text on LinkedIn when I share the page?

Unfortunately, unlike on Facebook, LinkedIn keeps cached data for a week from the first time the link is previewed!

The only way to “clear” the sharing preview cache immediately is to trick LinkedIn into thinking that your page is a brand new page. You can do this by adding an invented variable to the link when you share your site on LinkedIn. This isn't as tricky as it sounds. Simply add "?1" to the end of your URL.

Example:

Your original link: http://www.zohero.com/

"New" link: http://www.zohero.com/?1

As "?1" was added at the end of the site's URL. It will trick LinkedIn into thinking this is a new page and force the metadata to be recollected. Don't worry, it won't affect your campaign page.
